Christmas is.... #10 being grateful

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my jo,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

It is amazing how the little things become the big things.
How the things you want are the things you least need.
And how the things you take for granted are the things which make your life complete.

Every day the world has a way of showing that it can not be taken for granted.
That life can throw things up in the air and how the scatter, how they land, must be accepted.
And that whilst life can gift the most fantastic experiences and evoke senses that you never knew existed.
That life is about dealing with curve balls, and that there is a time and a place for everything, and sometimes no matter how challenging, it is accepted in order to regain strength.

Life is full of such curve balls, experiences where the only positive that can possibly be understood is that strength is gained, from a place unseen but constantly present.

And that, in everything we do we draw strength from those we love and those who love us.

Christmas is about making experiences matter.
About creating memories for the people we love.
Because we love them.
