Christmas is... #5 The Pogues

There is nothing, but nothing, that can make my heart melt, beat and sing like The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl.
I appreciate I am in no way unique in this.
I don't care. I love this song.
Nothing says Christmas to me like 'Fairytale of New York'.
Sorry and all that.
I hope you get over it.
And for those in my corner- this is for you...

So, appreciating some of you may not be with me on this, I did the scientific research experiment I asked Mr J what his defining Christmas song is.... hmmmm... I wasn't convinced:

And so, I asked Squeaks, and this is the only one she knows apart from her nativity song ("The animals are coming... to see the baby Jesus.... ??!!):

This one reminds me of my dad, great Christmas films, and generally thirteen years of not living in Wales...

And this one, is not really Christmassy, but for me, Disney is Christmas, and this is for my gorgeous little people:

So, this is me, and this is the Johnson's soundtrack to Christmas.

What's yours?

  1. I agree with you totally on the Pogues. I like how you have included other people's faves in your list. Commenting on behalf of BritMums.

  2. When you wish upon a star is lovely! I'd never thought of that for a Christmas playlist!
